LaBonte Park Cleanup

Common Outdoor Ground is hosting a cleanup of LaBonte Park and LaBonte Lake on June 12, in conjunction with Feeding Laramie Valley and the UW Biodiversity Institute. This is a family-friendly event, and COVID distancing practices will be in place.

The details:

  • Meet at Feeding Laramie Vally between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. Please wear a mask at check-in and any time social distancing cannot be maintained.

  • Lunch will be provided

  • We will be picking up trash in and around the lake, so bring work gloves and waders if you have them

  • Volunteers from the UW Biodiversity Institute will be on site with fun facts about Tiger Salamanders and the ecosystem of LaBonte Lake. They’re even bringing AMBASSADOR SALAMANDERS!!

  • There will be a raffle at noon, with prizes from local businesses and COG merch. All volunteers will receive one free raffle ticket, and additional raffle tickets will be available for purchase. All proceeds will help us fund future COG events.

  • Registration is capped at 30 people due to COVID; please register in advance to save your spot!
