Pilot Hill Trail Work - June 19

Help us open 7 miles of NEW trails on the Pilot Hill Recreation and Wildlife Habitat Management Area! We are so excited to help increase access to this incredible resource, and we hope you will join us. These trails will provide a second route from top to bottom of Pilot Hill, as well as a new lower and upper loop for hiking, trail running, biking and horse travel.

Work will include some simple stretches of trail construction, building rock cairns to mark trail routes, and installing signage and stickers. We’ll meet at the east end of Willet Drive at 8 a.m. and carpool to the worksites from there. Masks are required during carpooling.

Snacks, water, and pizza will be provided.

Volunteers should wear long pants, long sleeve shirts, closed-toe shoes, and sun protection such as a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Please bring a water bottle and work gloves if you are able. It could get pretty hot, so please keep safety in mind. As always, be prepared to get dirty and have fun! We ask that volunteers for these events be 18+. Registration will be capped at 20, so save your spot now.

Want to do even more work on the Pilot Hill trails? We’ll be getting out on June 20th as well. Details here.
